Tot School!

Hudson is 15 months old. We started "Tot School" this week. I read about it on a wonderful website that has so much wonderful info about raising your tot. You can find it here. We just worked with things around the house, and had so much fun. I'm hoping to start really planning what we do each week and start putting together fun things to learn with!!

We started off with a trip to the park to pick acorns.

Then we had some fun with our acorns and some plastic red cups. We practiced counting the acorns, putting them in the cups, pouring them from cup to cup, and stacking the red cups. He was so into it, and we continued to do it all week. The only difference was the when we went to play with the acorns the second day there were worms everywhere!! Needless to say, no more acorn learning skills for us, we switched to cheerios he liked them better anyway bc he got to pop a couple in his mouth when he wanted to!

Then we moved on to straws. He loved trying to put the straws back in their container, not to mention throwing them around, rubbing his feet on them, and teasing Tate with them.

We did a lot of coloring~ he is getting more and more into it although he still seems to be most passionate about taking the colors in and out of the little black suitcase they go in, and he inevitably had to share his fun activity with Tate and tried a little coloring on him too!

We worked on farm animals, go over their names and the sounds they make. I loved getting to use our farm animal puzzle from cousin Andrea, and he did too!

Hudson loves going outside so anything we could "learn and do" outside we did. We had a little bubble time, and then worked on watering the plants which again led to sharing with Hud's bff Tate!
